We make travel to and from camp easy! Chartered buses for all sessions leave for camp from New York City (Queens), Westchester (Yonkers), Albany, and Central Jersey. Buses will leave the morning of the first day of each session. At the end of each session, all return buses come to one convenient stop at our winter office in Dobbs Ferry, NY, arriving between 4 and 6 PM. We welcome campers from all over the country and around the world, campers can usually fly together, sitting next to other Long Lakers so they can enjoy their time together and feel safe with their new friends. This saves parents from traveling all the way up themselves!
Many families drive their campers to us. Drop-off at camp begins at 2 PM on the first day of each session and is staggered by your camper’s age; enrolled families receive their specific drop-off window before camp begins.
We use Albany airport in upstate NY for campers who fly to camp and fly home. There is also a private regional airport in Saranac Lake about 40 minutes away. You can fly to Albany and we will meet your camper at the airport and bring them the rest of the way to camp on our bus, or you can fly with them, rent a car, and drive to camp.
If you wish you can charter a seaplane to land on Long Lake and disembark at our waterfront.
